COVID19 APPOINTMENT PROTOCOLS

WHAT DO I NEED?

  • A computer, tablet, or mobile device with a camera and a microphone.

  • Up-to-date software (PC, Android, Apple, etc.)

  • Up-to-date internet browser (Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer or Mozilla)

  • If you are using a phone, you will need to download the app

  • An Email address that we can send your appointment invitation.

PLEASE ALSO…

  • Arrive 10 minutes early so that we can get you checked in.

  • If you have any questions, please call the office at 860.432.8400.

  • AFTER clicking on the link above, you can then click on JOIN NOW, when prompted, to enter your virtual exam room.

PLEASE stay safe, healthy, and exercise caution during these times. At this time, unless otherwise directed by a provider, we are recommending that all patients continue their treatments as it currently stands. Just like any other disease or infection, many of our medications may weaken your immune system, so please exercise caution:

  • SOCIAL DISTANCING: stay at least 6 feet away from everyone or stay home

  • WASH YOUR HANDS, frequently!

  • SNEEZE/COUGH into the crook of your elbow

  • Seek medical attention if you have developed any fever, shortness of breath, cough, traveled to affected areas or have encountered someone who has symptoms or has traveled to affected areas.

We encourage every patient to keep their appointments because we keep track of changes in health and condition and because many patients are on medications that we need to monitor for safety.

We have officially phased out the use of telehealth and have resumed in-person COVID19-compliant services. Rest assured that we are taking every necessary precaution to keep you safe during these times.

In the event we need to utilize telehealth, we will continue to use Google Meet. However, this is not the recommended course as the majority of our visits require a physical exam. Exceptions will be made on a case-to-case basis.

Google Meet is safe and HIPAA compliant, to safeguard your privacy.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

Once the virtual appointment is set up, you will receive an email that should like the example to the LEFT.

KEEP IN MIND

  • Medicare has expanded coverage, but for any other insurance company it will be YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to see if there is COVERAGE for telemedicine.

  • You will need to have on hand, your up-to-date insurance cards, photo ID, and list of medications.

  • Please make sure you are in an area that is quiet and well lit for the exam.
